Worting Ancient Pathways

This walk will follows both historical and ancient pathways just west of Basingstoke, taking in the home of The Father of English Beekeepers [Charles Butler] @ Wootton St Lawrence, Manydown Manor with the Jane Austen links, a section of The Wayfarers …then ‘marching’ back along the ancient Roman Silchester to Winchester Road . This multi-path section gives us a 100% guaranteed mud free return back to Worting House and, even with a wettish post Christmas, most of the pathways are grass surfaced rather than bare slippy puddled mud. There will be 1 short refreshment stop.
