Location: St Catherine's Park and Ride Winchester. Meet by the bus terminal (closed Sundays)

We will leave the Winchester Park and Ride along the River Itchen and cross the water meadows to pick up the Clarendon Way. The route then follows the chalk downland passing through protected wildlife areas at Yew Hill, Shawford Down, The Dongas and St Catherine's Hill, which will hopefully all be alive with summer flowers and butterfles (including the rare Chalkhill Blue) and offer wonderful views (weather permitting).
