Location: The car park is south of the B4507. If coming from Ashbury you will turn right: there is a clear "brown sign" for Uffington White Horse and Waylands Smithy.

This walk on the Berkshire Downs will take in History, Prehistory and some spectacular scenery. We will start at the National Trust car park for the Uffington White Horse, near the village of Woolstone. Our walk will take us to the White Horse itself, Uffington hill fort, Wayland's Smithy long barrow, and Ashdown House. We will be walking mostly on open downland, including a section of the Ridgeway.
