Location: Car park on The Ridgeway at Ashbury Folly on the B4000 between Lambourn and Ashbury . (Note - there is car parking on both sides of the road - the walk will leave from that on the SW side - on the left coming from Lambourne)

Starting from the car park at Ashbury Folly on the B4000 we will start by following The Ridgeway SW for a short distance before taking a fieldpath past Alfred's Castle and the National Trust's Ashdown House where we turn NW ascending Weathercock Hill en route to Woolstone Down, thence to Uffington Castle. Return to the start point along The Ridgeway via Wayland's Smithy.
