Location: West Down Nature Reserve upper car park. Take the next right turn after driving north through Leckford on the A3057 towards Chilbolton. After passing the 20mph speed limit signs on entering Chilbolton, take the next right turn. Please note, it is not the lower car park close to the junction with the A3047.

From the top of West Down Nature Reserve, we drop down into Chilbolton Cow Common before passing through the picturesque Chilbolton village. From here we head south-west to pass close to the Chilbolton Radio Telescope on our way back to the start. There is just one easy and dog-friendly stile.
