Summer London Walk

Portsmouth Ramblers Summer London Walk - Along the Green Chain.

On arrival at London Waterloo we will take a short train journey to Falconwood Station in South East London, to start our walk along the Green Chain. Starting in Eltham Park, this will take us through Oxleas Wood where we will have our first stop for coffee (cafe & toilets)) to Sevendroog Castle, and on to Eltham Common, Woolwich Common and Charlton Park, where we will stop for lunch (cafe & toilets), as we descend to the River Thames at the Thames Barrier. From here we will take the Thames Path to the O2 Arena (formerly the Dome). . We will finish our walk here, at North Greenwich, before taking a leisurely boat journey back up the Thames alighting at Embankment Pier, from here it is a c.15min walk across Hungerford Bridge back to Waterloo Station for our return train journey home.
