Location: Roadside parking on Barford Down Farm Road. Take Barford Lane north out of Downton. After about 2 miles you will see the entrance to Trafalgar Park on the left. Continue on and take the next right turn. Parking is about 100 to 200m along this road.

From the start, we head south across open farmland, with great distant views, towards Downton before heading east in the direction of Redlynch. We then turn north to Barford Down and Standlynch Down with even more wonderful views. From Standlynch Down we will catch a glimpse of Salisbury Cathedral (weather permitting). Whilst there are no stiles on this walk there are a couple of steeper inclines to negotiate.
