SOUTH DOWNS CIRCUIT FROM HARTING DOWN

This is a classic South Downs walk. Starting at Harting Down NT car park we will head east along the South Downs Way, passing the Devil's Jumps neolithic round barrows and with great views in all directions. We will then turn south, taking forest tracks and bridleways, passing the site of the abandoned medieval village of Monkton, eventually returning to the start point over Harting Down. There will be hills - it is, after all, the South Downs. But I do not remember there being any stiles.
