Starting at Rowlands Castle recreation ground car park the walk heads north along Wellsworth Lane to Finchdean. The walk then heads west towards Blendworth via Wick Hanger. After heading south for a short distance the route returns to Rowlands Castle on Broad Walk and the Monarchs Way. There is one steady climb after leaving Finchdean, a total of three stiles and some road walking.
