Location: PLEASE NOTE: CAR DRIVERS ARE ADVISED TO PARK AT ROWLANDS CASTLE AND ALLOW TIME TO PURCHASE A SINGLE RAIL TICKET TO PETERSFIELD AND CATCH THE 10:12 TRAIN Starting point is outside the southern exit at Petersfield railway station. Walkers have the choice of reaching Petersfield by train, leaving Fratton @ 09:56, or Havant @ 10:07; OR parking their car at Rowlands Castle station and catching the 10:12 to Petersfield.

After meeting at Petersfield railway station, the walk goes to The Square, where picnic items can be purchased, if required, from the market. The trail then proceeds to Hangers Way, Buriton, Couters Dean, Chalton (lunch), Idsworth Church, and Stansted Forest to Rowlands Castle.
