Oakley

Leaving Oakley village we pass a picturesque duck pond before walking through farmland. A brief drink stop in a woodland is followed by more open fields to Nurshanger farm. Passing Quintan’s plantation we make a picnic lunch stop at St Nicholas Church, Steventon (birthplace of Jane Austen). After lunch we walk through Steventon Park, crossing under the railway, we follow the line, passing by Steventon Arch and then head back towards Oakley across Oakley Park. Picnic lunch.
