MINSTEAD

Our walk will take us from Football Green car park (also confusingly named Cricket Green) along shady wooded paths and some open forest, past interesting village cottages and with some quiet lane walking. This walk is very varied and with an interesting link to Sherlock Holmes.

Please bring your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with you with you or ask the leader for one.

There are about 5 stiles. There is some gentle up and down to do.

Afterwards you could visit Furzey Garden where there is a cafe, but you need to prebook and there is a charge for entrance. Also there is the Trusty Servant pub for lunches or the village shop for ice creams.
