Ludgershall

This walk is mainly alongside and through beautiful beech woods. After a brief mosey around  Ludgershall Castle we head off across fields and farm tracks to a gentlish climb up to walk the perimeter of Coldridge Wood along Honey Bottom. We then turn through the wood to reach the forest road at Cowcommon Bottom and follow it as it gently climbs up the valley lined with tall pines through Collingbourne Wood. Before the top we double back on ourselves via a narrow path to join the forest road again. We follow Blackmore Lane out of the wood to return to the start via footpaths and lanes. Will be muddy in places but passable. Picnic lunch.
