09.30 at Portsmouth Park and Ride for 10.15 Fastcat sailing to Ryde then train to St John's Road station. We walk South via the Nunwell trail alongside the railway, the trough woods and across fields before a short pavement stretch on the main road. Then we skirt West Ridge Golf Centre to follow a byway across fields with views of the Solent and the mainland towards Nettlestone. A series of twitterns brings us to Seagrove Bay and the coastal path through Seaview and Puckpool Point to Ryde. Return to Portsmouth. Picnic lunch.
