Hurstbourne Tarrant and Ibthorpe

This walk will provide a good opportunity to walk off the excesses of the festive season!  It starts in Hurstbourne Tarrant, a pretty village in the heart of the lovely Bourne Valley  and begins with quite a steep climb up the south side of the valley to the top of Wallop Down Hill.  The path then continues over a mixture of woodland and downland paths giving wonderful views of distant hills and the Bourne Valley, which are a feature of this walk.  The paths are mainly good but there are some muddy stretches and so good waterproof walking boots are a must.  Considering the time of the year this also applies to clothing in general.  Please advise the walk leader in good time if you intend coming on this walk.
