Greenham Common

Gravelled paths; cart tracks & canal towpath. We will circumnavigate the old airfield, viewing the old cruise missile shelters and other evidence of recent history and make a small diversion on the way to visit the Peace Garden for a probable coffee stop. Then we will descend to the Kennet and Avon Canal which we will follow back to the outskirts of Newbury before climbing back to the start point. The control tower should be open and there is a café for those who wish for post-walk tea and cake.
