Passing through Chawton Park Wood we join the Writers Way on the outskirts of Alton. Passing under the A31 we enter Jane Austen territory for a picnic lunch. After lunch we pick up the old railway line before turning off to join the St Swithun’s Way and Writer’s Way back to Four Marks. Mixed terrain, woodland, fields, lanes and a small dose of urban.
