Catherington Circular.

Via Catherington Down. Second walk of two that can be done separately or together with a picnic lunch.

From the starting point we take a footpath around the church with views to Windmill Hill. On our return to Catherington Hill a footpath takes us down hill to cross Lovedean lane and continue ahead on a path that rises to a lane which passes Hinton Manor. From here a short length of road leads to a path through a vineyard and then through a spinney down hill and out with extensive views towards Broadhalfpenny Down. At a junction of paths a left turn takes us along a bridleway shaded by trees initially and then in to an open field. Our route then climbs through Prew's hanger and out across a field to a lane. Here a right then left turn is taken to pick up a path back to Catherington Down where a short climb will ease us back to our starting point.
