Catherington Circular.

Via Monarchs Way & Day Lane. First walk of two which can either be done separately or together with a picnic in between.

We leave Catherington passing the Farmers Inn and take Roads Hill lane joining by-way which takes us to Cold Hill Lane. At Lovedean a footpath takes us up to Day Lane, and on to Broadway Lane. Left here to pick up a footpath which combined  with a quiet lane leads to The Crossways. Again a lane is used as it follows the boundary of The South Downs Natioal Park. We pick up The Monarch's Way and follow it to Lovedean. We then take a footpath opposite The Bird in Hand Inn which is followed to join our outward route. We diverge away on to Catherington Down and ahead the car park beckons.
