Buriton and beyond

A beautiful walk across downs, woodland and open country. Taking the Milky Way out of Buriton, we will head towards (but not up) Harting Down, looping south to Hucksholt Farm and then west towards Chalton. From Chalton, we will take the Staunton Way to Head Down and back to Buriton.

No stiles; there is a hill out of Buriton up the Milky Way and another short, steep one to get up to Chalton. If we go on the Sussex Border Path, there has been extensive forestry work and the ground is very uneven. Please make sure your boots have good tread and support, and poles would be helpful.
