Buriton

There is no escape, there are hills.  This is, however, a scenic walk incorporating national trails in abundance; Hangers Way, Shipwrights Way, South Downs Way and 20 yards of the Staunton Way.  We climb to enter the Queen Elizabeth Country Park before wending our way to Windmill Hill, and then to the picnic stop in Chalton. We then head back across track, open farmland and more woodland.  From the top of Head Down Plantation it’s downhill all the way back to the cars.
