Braishfield Circular via Bailey's Down, Upper and Lower Slackstead and Ampfield Wood

via Bailey's Down, Farley and Ampfield Wood. Picnic lunch.

From the recreation ground we pick up the Monarch's Way and leave to follow a quiet dead end lane to Parnholt Wood via Bailey's Down. The route then ventures towards Farley and the isolated church. From here a lane descends gradually through Upper Slackstead to Lower Slackstead. A bridleway is followed to Red Gate and Ampfield Wood where a footpath meanders through to leave and cross fields to return to Braishfield.
