Leaving Beaconhill Beeches along the South Downs Way, we pass through Lomer Farm and then pick up the Wayfarer’s Walk to Kilmeston. We continue towards Hinton Ampner then turn off through Broom Wood. We pass Black House Farm and Wheely Farm before descending to rejoin the Wayfarer’s Walk at Wheely Down and then climb back up Beacon Hill. Early bluebells are just appearing in woodland areas. Picnic lunch.
